This is from the PEE DEE STREET RODDERS web site South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster cancelled all events in South Carolina that consist of more than 100 people. It is with deep regret that The Pee Dee Street Rodders must abide by law and postpone The 32nd annual Run To The Sun. We are already working on rescheduling this show and will let you know as soon as this is done. We appreciate your understanding.

SPRING SHOW CANCELLATION The EBCI has currently put a hold on all Events in Cherokee until May for concerns over COVID-19. We the Cherokee Rodders feel it is necessary/and an obligation to support this decision and cancel our Spring Show. You the Participant, Spectator, and Vendor are our foremost concern and we want to do our part in protecting everyone as best we can. The Fall Show will continue as planned and we are combining budgets!!!!!! More to follow on giveaways, added special guests, and of course...those famous Cherokee Rod Run shirts!!! Again, we hang our hearts heavy as we cancel the Spring Show and we will be contacting everyone who has registered to this point to issue a full refund. Or, if you would like, apply the fee to the fall instead. Please share this post as much as you can to get the word out!!

SOUTHEAST GASSERS ASSOCIATION EMERALD COAST RACE IS POSTPONED NEW DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED After tons of research we have found that the risk of the government stepping in and shutting us down is to great to chance. Sending racers, fans and sponsors on an average 7 hour trip only to be told sorry y'all can't race just don't make good sense. As most know I love to stand my ground but only when the outcome hurts just me. This time the wrong outcome will hurt 1,000's of others. This is not about the virus it's about the panic the fake news media is causing because of the virus. It's not about the money because we have great sponsors that would cover that. It's about trying my best to be a good leader and make decisions that is best for all involved. The final decision was made today by myself, Rocky Platt and Ryan Milliken (track owner Emerald Coast Dragway). All three of us wanted to fight the system but knew a good leader would never take his troops into a battle he knew they would lose. If it would have only effected the 3 of us Rocky and I would be headed that way right now to help Ryan get ready for the battle but that's not the case this time. Several things helped make the decision, one example was Steve Bright who works for the Defense department was told / requested that him and his family could not leave the state. Angela Blackwell our girl in the tower that we can't do without was told by her real job that if she left the state she would have to be home quarantined at for 14 days before returning to work. I could go on and on with examples about staff and racers that just flat can't go by no fault of their own and many more with underlying health issues that don't need to be going but would have just to support the Southeast Gassers Association. Notice it says POSTPONED, we are going to do our best to reschedule this event for the Florida and Alabama fans that have been so supportive in helping us promote it. THE TRACK WILL BE OPEN FRIDAY AND SUNDAY FOR TESTING IF ANY SEGA CARS WANT TO GO JUST TO TEST. Quain Stott

This is from Carlisle yesterday. Right now, I won't be going. I don't need any cheaply made gloves or socks and the odds that there will actually be good car parts there isn't worth the risk. Hi. The Pate Swap Meet at Texas Motor Speedway is still on schedule but it is still 42 days away. As some events are showing reschedule to May it seems the Pate directors are currently showing a wait a bit longer and see thing on this. My local AACA club is one of the co founders of Pate and is one of the clubs that own the Pate event. Because of this we should receive notification and notify our members asap as most of us ore Pate works scheduled to work the event. Just hoping this situation improves quickly. Jimmie
