    Mopar Nick.

I was the only guy at school that liked and/or drove Chrysler products. The name took no imagination on the part of cl***mates, and took about 3 seconds to become known.

    Oddly enough, now I drive a Ford...

I was born with the dreaded Red hair, although it is mostly grey I am still known as Red.

My buddy "Timmy P" never had a nickname so my son Slim told him all his friends got there nickname from something stupid they did at one time or another...Timmy thought for a few minutes and said well then just call me "Got Married" so that is his nickname.

I used to get in bar fights when I was younger. I was a boxer at the time with a good right cross. Anyway, I never got beaten and the fights usually lasted one punch, so One Punch became "O.P" which sounds a lot like "OPIE" How the hell would you like to walk around with a nickname like "Opie?" Of course the nickname probably got me in even more jambs!

Some of the So-What crew started calling me "plow" 'cause when we did the junkyard crawl down at Pyles I'd push through the thick briars to check out stuff. When I was a little kid my dad always called me gizmo. later shawn

"Mr Valach", because they all mispronounce my last name precisely the same way.

If you have a last name like Fitzgerald, and Dan for a first-name moniker, you're probably going to be referred to as "Irish Dan"!....at least I have been for years!.....and I don't even have red hair or freckles!

I've had a bunch nicknames through the year's by family, friends, and non friends too...haha
When i was younger, late teen's early 20's, a hand full of the older car guy's around here used to call me 'the kid'..i thought that was pretty cool..
I also have a friend who started calling me 'Mr.Chop' because i had started to get into the metal working aspect of the "hobby" pretty deep...It started when i chopped my 53 chevy a few years ago...Now his friend's all call me that too..
I've been called hotrod as well because for a about 6 year's people would see me driving my old 33 ford truck all the time..more of a reference than anything..they'd see the truck and just ***ociate me driving a hot rod.

I don't recall any real nicknames, but my friends call aluminum slotted mag wheels "Scott Mags" because I used to have them on all my cars.

Got my road name "Beggar" in the Body Shop bar outside of Corpus in '68 or '69 from a guy named Bear, for always bummin' smokes. He just got tired of it one night and announced that was my name, and it stuck.

"Bobblehead", thanks to nic32vic, greezy, and someone I can not remember the name of. I got that one at the hamb drags last year! Stayed up in the Ramada parking lot drinking all night, then had breakfest with those three. Fun times...fun times.

my cousin set up my uncle's dj equipment one summer at his birthday party, and my cousin left me in charge of playing the music. i was playing only the good music (old stuff) so my cousin's friend called me dj ol'skool, because of the old music, and because i like old cars. so i just added the year of my hot rod, and there ya go thats my username for the hamb. sounds stupid, i thought it did at the time but i was shot for usernames, figured i'd use the nickname that was given to me.

A good friend called everybody "Charlie"-_____ fill in the blank. One long haired guy we hung with was CharlieLonghair, I got CharlieLed because my last name begins with LED. Lots of people think I got it from slinging "lead" but that's not the case.

One of my buddies who runs a small ch***is shop asked me to come up and do some tinwork for him. When he called the shop I was workin for he asked for the "dumb *** tinman", I shortened it to Da Tinman for obvious reasons.

My wife shortened it the other way,, she just calls me dumb ***.

My detachment in the Navy went to Fallon, Nevada for gunnery training one year, and instead of turning in early for a long day on the range, I stayed out late drinking. At some point in the night I decided I should take a shower so that I could sleep in later and still make muster (sounded good at the time). I went to bed with wet hair, and since I thought I was cool and had long, out of regulation hair, it dried kind of funny and sticky-uppy. The next day in the line shack, someone made the comment that I looked a little like "Sideshow Bob" from the Simpsons. And it stuck.....
Don't ask me why they called me Hollywood for a few years.

Along time ago, my first car, and Hot Rod, was a `42 Ford Fordor. Y Block, 4 Speed and all. In New Zealand, there were ( still are) heaps of those 46-7-8 Sedans. Compared to the small English and jap cars we had there in the late 70`s, they were as big as a House...so they were all known as that. Since mine was a rare year, one of only a couple in the whole country, I was given the nickname. By Cowboy, actually. But that`s a story in itself....To this day I`m known as House by most older Kiwi Rodders, and some locals too. Although most guys round here call me Kiwi Paul...

So they started calling me Worm, I gained some weight after a Motorcycle accident ( I was rear ended by a 49er Cheerleader, I wish it was the other way around) So, they started calling me Big Worm the insensitive *******s, and when My Latino Music friends heard them call me Big Worm they started calling me Gusano Grande, but have since dropped the grande and just call me Gusano..which means Worm!
    I've also thru the years have been called;
    CHIEF
    WILD BILL
    MONTY
WHIP IT OUT WILLIE (one friend still calls me that)
and My Brother calls me Dooty

In 1971 I bought a 64 Fairlane for $250. 289 and 3 on the tree. Burgandy with gold interior. All the makings of a Thunderbolt. The first thing I did was to put air shocks on it to jack up the rear. I then became "Jimmy Hijacker". I ruined the car by getting rid of the chrome and having it painted metalflake blue. While I was in boot camp my father got rid of the car. Now I have a blue 64 Fairlane wagon.

i've been called lots of racial slurs - i don't know if i'd call that a nickname, at one of my first jobs this old guy that worked there used to call me Moses, in university i was called the doctor, i had another name i really earned - furburger, and i tried to use it as my username when i registered here but somebody already got it. i was very disappointed and had to settle for hairypalms
