i bought a 62falcon that ended up too nice to cut for a gasser (especially since i wanted a 60-61). When putting on the hood, the welded backnut started to spin, requiring a lock to hold her in place:

I later drug a 61 Falcon that had been a gasser before hiding in a barn for 25years. when I got it to the house, i noticed something while it was still on the trailer:

Found abunch of Hill Climb time slips from Newport Indiana under the front seat of my '55 Desoto when I chopped it about two months ago. They dated back to about ten years ago... I still race the car every year at the hill climb.
Do a search on YouTube "1955 Desoto Newport Hillclimb", you'll see it there.

I didn't find 'em, but quite a few years ago, a guy who did some work on Elvis Presley's 1960 Gold Cadillac Series 75 Fleetwood Limo (the George Barris one) offered me a bag full of Australian coins he found stuffed behind the glove box.
I did a little research..seems Colonel Parker sent the Caddy to Aus. (without Elvis of course) for some sort of a charity event in 1968. The dates on the coins matched up. Weird.

I bought a 56 Chevy 2dr hardtop 3 years ago,it had been sitting since the early 80's.I pulled out the seats and old carpet to check out the floors and there were alot of candy wrappers, 2 toy potmetal cars,a few crackerjack surprizes and......2 tokens the size of silver dollars....1 says "SILVER DOLLAR HOTEL DENVER COLO" GOOD FOR ONE SCREW" MADAME RUTH JACOBS PROP" and the other one reads "THE HOG RANCH FORT LARAMIE WYOMING" "GOOD FOR A $2.00 PIECE" The backsides say "ALL NIGHT COAT CHECK $3
I wonder if these are still valid ? :D
