Hey we have the same number of posts

  4. Ouch!!! I had one done for my 58 Fairlane for about $250. Theres a place in Kansas called LMC Truck, www.lmctruck.com, that has radiators for 48-52 trucks, 2row for 259.95. Thats a 19 1/4"height by 26 3/8 wide by 1 7/8 deep, no oil cooler. I assume its a complete radiator. I've never bought from them, but they send me these neat catalogs.. Hope that helps. DRR

I got my 62 cad recored for 200 bucks when I lived in Calgary. Find a rad shop that an older guy runs and you'll probably get a good deal.

That seams a little steep. The number fins and rows will make a difference, so when you are priceing them make sure they are the same.

Mine was flushed and the tubes hose outlets flipped (side to side). Switched motors from Ford to Chevy. Twom leaks fixed one in the tank and one in the fins. 35.00

Same place did the radiator in a car that had set so long the anti-fresse had turn to jelly. That was 25.00

i dug out the bill for recoring the radiator in my 66 newport #2 [2 years ago ].the total bill was $430 .the actual core was $273 plus $65 labor.[thats new york prices]

  11. The last one I had done was 150.00 (145 n change actually) That guys gone out of business (not because of pricing). Theres a place over here in Wyondote County (KC,KS for you out of towners) that will sell you a brandy new radiator for a little over 200. Granted it won't be specific for your '48.
My point is if you're paying mor than 200 - 250 to have one recored you're whistlin' in the wind, [IMG] and words to similar effect.
