Nah no difference,,as it's ( well for me at least ) just tired of something. When the culture surrounding the hobby becomes _____________ really takes the fun,,and passion away. So just get out for a while sooner or later you wander back..Though should have never sold my JD,,as I know I'll never find another one

  4. Similar dilemma; The Sport Fury takes up one side of the cave;three snowmobiles and the '99 FXST(and a snowblower,toolbox,4 two-stroke sled engines,7 tracks, and two bags of garbage) take up the other side. Did I mention that there's enough snowmobile parts in the garage loft to build at least two,if not three more machines? Yeah...
The HD is going up for sale(again) real soon, and I'm seriously thinking about thinning the sled herd. Hell, two of 'em have to sit in the trailer cuz there's no room at the inn. ...And,there's another "project" behind the garage...As the parts and such for the '64 accumulate, room must be made for them.
Another issue: I was chasing a '64 Savoy, and when the call didn't come from that, pursued and got the Sport Fury. The Savoy could still become available, and then what do I do? There's no place-enclosed-to put that, and then there's the $$$. Would have to sell the S.F.,which I really dig,to finance the Savoy project.

My head hurts just thinkin' about it.

My wife laughed when I read this thread title. :D
I have said this several times now. I usually sell one and buy 2 projects. The most recent sell being my real nice '54 Ford 50's custom to buy several projects and now I'm outta room!! I'm currently selling my '50 1-ton Chevy panel to help fund my Model A project if anyone is interested. My '31 Austin Altered coupe is my long term project. The '39 is a driver & in progress. Next is to get the chopped Merc runnin' and drivin'.
Sometimes it gets to be almost stressful. That's when I tell myself I'd never be able to buy these again for the $$. I'm trying to stay focused on 1 at a time. My dad has mastered this. He will have his '36 Ford Sedan Delivery on the road this year. (flathead, 5- speed, banjo with open drive, dropped axle with juice brakes) Guess that's why he's the old wise one...:)

I did it, i sold everything but my '57 hardtop and my daily, (94 mark viii) it's nice to not have to dick with a bunch of cars all the time. Huge stress reliever. I can never keep it going too long though, im thinking of buying a '56 DeSoto because i'm itching to chop something.

I did it once :D I had too much stuff.

    I sold off

    1 ) 1949 Mercury coupe
    2 ) 1956 Ford F-100 Big Window
    3 ) 4 off topic vehicles
4 ) almost 100 ( yes ... one hundred ) factory aluminum Chevrolet High Performance intakes
    5 ) a complete 69 Z-28 302/290 HP engine
    6 ) a complete 67 Corvette 427/435 engine
    7 ) a complete 1970 454/450 HP LS-6 engine
8 ) a complete 1970 RAM AIR IV Pontiac engine

LOTS of other smaller parts and pieces.
I only kept real, original 1932 Ford parts and pieces ...

I then had a pocket full of MONEY and went to work on getting my 32 Ford roadster finished. Best car type move I ever made.

I need to clean out a bunch of my spare parts and pieces now that my Deuce 3W is finished. But, with the economy on the downward swing, I think I will wait to sell ... hoping that demand and prices will go back to where they were.

    I do have a 2004 " DEUCE " model Harley Davidison I would sell.
Only 4,500 miles. Never been wet ... for only 11 grand :D

Of course I've said "I'm selling them all!" - several times! Who doesn't?

I'm finally down to a manageable level with three cars done, and ONE project - my wagon.

I had (last Summer) SIX projects lined up! That is crazy, so I got rid of the ones I knew I'd never get to, and kept the one that tripped my trigger the most.

My dream car is a '62 Chrysler 300H, in either a hardtop or ragtop. If one ever crosses my path for the right coin, I'd sell my three completed cars AND the wagon to get it!

I have done this a few times over the years, and to be frank I have been considering doing so again. I tried to buy a high dollar driver (to my budget anyway) just today. It did not work out, if it had I probably would have liquidated at least one of my current projects. (2) They say the market is "soft" so I would probably not get what I would accept anyway.
