Yea, I think Clark has a pair. You can still find them on old firetrucks if you keep looking. Good ol' ebay... turning coal into gold.

  10. There's nothing "traditional" about paying $1700 for headlights.

    im with Tony.

they are nice but fuck 17-1800 for some god damn headlights!.
that just makes the goldchainer shine through!

  12. I had George Poteet bidding on some parts I was selling, it was pretty rare stuff. I was all ready to hit the motherload, when the bidding got silly, Poteet backed out. He may spend coin on stufff but I think he is sensible with his own personal limit on what he thinks parts are worth.

    Those headlights are cool.

If everybody thought like this there wouldn't be any hotrodded 32's. We'd all be building Model A's.

I ran an auction that Poteet got outbid on, once. Was a rare Essex dashboard. But I bet he already had ten just like it in the warehouse.

Poteet is a buddy of mine. He is worth millions, but he ain't a gold-chainer. He wears bib overalls and sneakers to work. Super nice guy. Although I am getting tired of getting outbid by him.:p :D

I once saw Ryan help finance a large part of my roadster's build by brokering a sale of said headlights.

No way!George is just being stupid on this one. I've got 2 sets of NOS Guide 682-C's in the original boxes that I value more than those lights. And I got both sets for HALF of what he's biddin' on them.:p :D

I've paid stupid money for parts before, and I'm sure I will again. Sometimes you see a part that you just gotta have. If you can afford it, go for it. There is some guy out there who just got outbid on a part that cost 100.00. He's probably thinking that some rich bastard outbid him because he could only go 75.00 before he reached his limit. Having money does not make you a gold chainer. It's all about the attitude. I spent the weekend with a bunch of car guys with annual incomes from 15,000 a year to half a million a year. Unless you checked our bank statements, you would not be able to tell which was which.
No need to hate on someone just cause they got some coin. Now,when does that auction end?

    Doc.
