That "broke all the time" feeling is very oppressive. It's more than just a downer, it can really warp your outlook. Even if you aren't exactly penniless just the constant reminder that you are lacking can be exhausting.

You might want to give serious thought to what you are doing and what you really want to be doing and how you plan to get there. Your current feeling could possibly be extreme frustration with your current method to achieve your goals.
A small adjustment might be all that is necessary instead of radical surgery.

If that doesn't work then amputation of the offending part is the next best option.
