Every time I see an old Black & White photograph of a stock Model-A, I always think that could be my Hot Rod. Can't prove it isn't... All I know for sure is that it has passed through a whole bunch of lives and right now I am lucky enough to have it passing through mine.

The '59 Sport Fury convertible I am working on still had it's dash tag engraved with the buyers name on it. The car languished in an abandoned upstate New York salvage yard since the mid sixties, I did a google search of the buyer, [Bruce Virkler] and the name popped up, but none recently. Wouldn't mind finding more about the original owner, if possible.

My car is a '65 Fairlane Sports Coupe. It was bought as a high school graduation present for a guy we went to church with. By 1981, he and his wife had 3 daughters and he sold it to my Dad (when I was 1) and bought a station wagon. My mom drove it every day til '93 when we retired it. It sat for about 15 years when we brought it out to bring it back to life.

I got a WW2 ambulance. It saw stateside duty. If it stormed the beach in Normandy it'd still be in France somewhere. Uncle Sam didn't pay to bring them home. Or keep records. It was originally hacked together at Wayne Works in 1941. I came across it in 1998 and continue the tradition.

I bought my 46 from the original owner...sort of, I bought it from the son of the original. His mom wanted a new car and his dad said if she bore him six sons then he would buy her one. Well in 46 she did it and I subsequently bought it from that 6th son when I was 15.

Great to read all the stories about "AMERICAN MADE CARS". Makes me proud to know that "MADE IN AMERICA" really means something......

My dad always wonders who owned his 37 Chrysler and what the back story is on it.We bought the car in Greshem Oregon about three years ago as a roller. All we know is that the guy we bought it from said it had been parked since 64 in the same place, we tryed to contact him later on after we had bought the car but he had passed on.My dad always likes to think that if the original owner could see it now he would say "What the fuck did you do to my car" :D

I tried to find the original owner of my OT '71 a couple years ago. I bought it in '73 from a car lot, and got all the original papers, including the receipt for the dealer installed 427 engine, and the protectoplate, build sheet, window sticker, etc.
Never did find him, so I'm guessing he's deceased or moved from the Fontana, Ca. area where he lived when he bought the car.

  11. A quick Google search tells me there are apparently 3 Ford Dealerships using the name North Point in the following locations: Milwaukee WI, Little Rock AR, and Pryor, OK.

Thanks Saxman! I'll assume it was the OK dealership- now it's time to research their history. Will update when/if I find anything.

I've got a 1950 merc that came from Winnnapeg. I know the lady's name that owned and even the 3rd owner a Jeff Grabowski from Prior Lake MN. The first owner was a relative of his. Anybody know Jeff. I'd like to tell him his old car is in Tenn.
