I spent my youth sorting and organizing my dads many collections of car magazines. At one time he had around 80,000 magazines, a custom made trailer we would take to swapmeets and a shop full. He sold the collection and built it back up to around 20,000 mags before selling it again.

I limited myself to only little pages (I have full sets of most ***les) and some random full sized custom mags upto 1964 and some very random custom and lowrider mags into the very early 80s.

To me, the space a collection like that takes up isn't worth it besides most ***les from about 1976 to current have nothing of real interest.

    12 mags per year x 20 years = 240 mags of 1 ***le.
Times 10 Magazine ***les you listed = 2,400 mags
With each mag weighing ave approx 10 oz
    2,400 mags x 10 oz approx each = 24,000 oz
    24,000 oz = 1,500 lbs

    With out the tub weight.
Like I said, look on the positive side, they are on wheels.:)

I can’t imagine how heavy those containers are!
Nice to know I am not the only one to collect magazines. Really don’t know how many I have. They are boxed in chronological order with an index on my computer for ***les.
