Last year I bought perhaps the world's ugliest hot rod T tub roadster out of farm storage that I thought would be a fun challenge to give an extreme makeover. That's my embarrassed pal Cuzzindeke behind the wheel. Here is what I started with.

Here is what I did to it. It looked alot better it but you either loved it or hated it. My good pal Nosurf (famed car judge) made fun of it. Allis Chalmers orange and cream. I had a friend paint the scallops after having a Hamber (forgot his name) photoshop them on there.

Fast forward to today. I got tired of the orange and switched to satin black. Changed the tires-wheels too. Still have need to remove the orange carpet (it's*****edelic baby) but one thing at a time. I'm liking it better now. Hoping to sell it in this form. Should appeal to a larger group of buyers.

DITTO. It excersized a lot more imagination than just another black jalopy. "Flat black is the new LAZY"
That whole tall radiator with the wrong angle thing is making me kinda cross-eyed. But, I must admidt..the little car definately has a certian attractiveness. It's funky. I like it. I even liked the Allis-Chalmers thing it had going.. Good luck with her. -Abone.
Thank you. I have never liked the tall radiator out of line with the channeled cowl either but haven't changed it yet.
I liked it better orange. I would have left the paint, changed the wheels and tires like you did, and mounted the radiator and shroud at an angle roughly congruent with that of the firewall. As it sets right now, it looks like it broke in two at the engine mounts.
I like the final picture...well , to be honest. I like it better than the first 2 , but you know it still needs some work, so im not going to bash it
Yeah, it's a Ford in a Ford (289 V8). Here is the interior. It's groovy baby!

Im a little embarressed to say this, but I like the steel slots. Im probably gonna get a beat down for sayin that. Brad
I have one up in the attic from one of dads old mustangs, never held it up to my wag though, damn, its to cold to do it tonight, but gonna be 30 tomorrow, wont even need a coat! Brad
I like the first one the best. ...just kidding Actually, 2 or 3 is ok with me and I generally am not too big on those Cragar wheels (bad 70's flashbacks) in 2 or flat black on anything, but being a work in progress and see where you started, either is a definitely improvement. Good luck passing it on to someone else.
Get that top of the radiator down even with the cowl and about 3 inches out of the windshield. and your friends might over look the***** nasty
I think this version is much better then the other two even though the flat black may catch some flak. Who ever buys this doesn't have much work to make this thing really sweet. -A Sellers duvall style windshield -Tall skinny tires mounted on 16" disk or spoke wheels perhaps painted a dark maroon. -Perhaps a Flathead V8 in it's future with a '39 Top loader -Two Red Oxblood bench seats with wood floors -Banjo rear I think that car would be a great little immediate post war hot rod and far from the madness that the car originally started as.
