I'm changing the rear wheels and 4 tires on my '32 roadster. I bought 2 rear wheels from Gary McLean at Rally America wheels. He's a great old-time hot rod guy that offers great products, honest opinions and quick service, not to mention the alliance discount.. I'll post new pictures of the wheels and tires when they're mounted. I'm going to run Firestone dirt track tires to give it a little different look.Coker also gave me the Alliance discount. The Alliance deal has saved me over $260.00 in 11 months. I'm just waiting for my painter to do my rear wheels..Mike

I`ll be interested to see if you can get those all balanced out....hope for your sake the new 18'' moulds are better than the frequently out of round 7 50 16`s...

I currently run Coker's Firestone 750X16's with no balance problem at all. I have my tire installer, the same guy I've used for 15 years, put all weight on the inside of the rim and still get perfect balance. I've purchased about 6 sets of tires from Coker in the past few years and have had absolutely no balance problems.

Hi Larry, Call me lucky ,I guess, with regards to balancing. I'll post pics if I ever get the rear wheels back from the painter. I'll send you some larger pics via e-mail.
Your car looks great in all the magazines. Are you going to build something new?

I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks.

Flaw'd bought a set from Rally America for his RPU but is planning on running 7.00-18 Firestone because the 8.20-18 Dirt Tracks are 33 inches tall and he thinks it's too much.

I'd like to use a set on my Roadster project. I'm sure will both be following this post to see how the tires look.

    hemiferris,

Gary McLean is a good guy purchased some spoke wheels from him when he was about the only guy around making wheels. This is when all the rims he used came from the junkyard for the outers on the spoke wheels. Good to hear that the Alliance membership really pays off. Good luck with your ride.................

I gotta agree. Those guys are great to work with. I got a set of Ford wheels chrome reversed from them, they are wicked awesome and reasonably priced. Best is, I had them within two weeks of ordering them with an odd offset.
