I replaced the entire exhaust from the manifolds back on my 55 in late December 2014. I used Muffler Masters in Kannapolis, NC, and purchased the pipe, clamps, all the bending (a lot!) and two Flowmaster mufflers for a little over $700, and they had me up and running in less than five hours. Call Ashlee Moore at 704-938-1146.

you are ***uming that they understand exactly what car you are talking about. at least take some pictures underneath car and talk to muffler guys in person. also, post what town/area you live in so others here might be able to give some recommendations.

Guys, all it is is a Y pipe that goes into single 2" OD pipe. That runs straight through the X frame - no bends. The muffler sits inside the X, pipe runs back out (straight) and then over the axle.

I can get 4 foot aluminized pipe for about 12 bucks from JEGS, so I'll likely buy a couple of those, some pre bent stuff and see what I can do.

That sounds like a cheap exhaust to make. If a shop saw how easy it was they should give you a good price.
