Just made a down payment on a 351W based engine to be built for my 55 Ford.
I know many people have done this engine swap, so I am hoping someone has a success story with a vendor/exhaust manifold that will fit.

I have read the "sticky note", but it appears the author has experience with a 302 - and specifically states the 351W is wider, "which may cause clearance issues".

I need to know if the header referenced will fit the 1955 with 351W or does someone know what will fit (with the stock suspension & steering box)?

    Thanks

The header listed for the 302 has smaller primaries this is actually an advantage when installing a 351W as it will give you more clearance by the steering box, smaller primaries are better for low end torque and economy so for a cruiser it's a win-win.

    Thanks Jeff.
At least I now know one standard production option.

I know building my own or having a pair made is another, but don't want to deal with that if I can avoid it.

I will check with the builder on the port size. It is a Dart block with Edelbrock heads, producing 425+ hp (won't know exact until built/dynoed), so I don't want the exhaust to be too restrictive.

Anyone done this and found anything else on the market or had something made by a vendor?
