1952-59 Ford exhaust manifold

    I thought that my Ford was making a noise, that’s the cause of all my problems, my broken exhaust manifold! What can it come from?[​IMG]

    My 2¢, it was dropped at some point in time, or unevenly tightened. This is a latent piece of damage that eventually showed up.

    Straight 6 manifolds are not a friend of heat. My 64 Mustang manifold cracked about where yours did.

    The exhaust manifolds on inline 6 cylinder 5.9 ***mins diesels are known to shrink enough to make the retaining bolts break the head. If they broke in two it would be a lot easier and less costly to repair.
