Ok guys. What is the secret formula for threading the exhaust pipe up through the frame to bolt it to the manifold. I'm working on a 56 Customline with a Y block. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a kit from Summit with all the straight and mandrel bent pieces. Then cut and welded from the manifolds back. Lot of work laying on my back, but the shops around here quoted anywhere from 700 to 1500 bucks and that was with their non-mandrel benders

Tried that. No go. P***enger side is a piece of cake. Driver side is another matter. Guess I'll cut the pipe and use a band clamp.
