Where is the best place to buy a complete exhaust system for my 54 239 V8 from the exhaust manifold to the bumper including hangers and crossover pipe?

There are few places that have them available and they are pricey,if you still have the old parts a good exhaust shop could duplicate them for much less or even do it from scratch at about half the price.

A shop local to me did the complete system - headers to tailpipes, on my '56 for about $300 (not including the Porter mufflers). You might check around your area for a shop that does custom exhaust systems.

NOTE: the shop was not a chain-store (thanx Jim for noting that "M" store thing. I made a similar mistake with my TurboCoupe; never again) - ron

I would suggest going to a muffler shop that can Mandrell bend the pipes for you . You can buy the parts through different places but sometimes they aren't formed very well which can be a real pain to get to work on the car . I wouldn't recommend anyone to the muffler shop that starts with a "M" . I made that mistake one time and never again . I was using a guy that did the exhaust one at a time but has retired so I make my own when I can .
I try to make my own and weld then up for a solid exhaust .

JeffB2....thanks for waldron link. I was planning on having to have something cobbed together to get my '55 from where we're putting the headers on to the muffler shop (Cole....in my aread at least I've heard great things about them and older cars), but this may save the h***le!

I had Waldron make up a 2 1/4 system that flows the factory dual route. It is made of very heavy material, has mandrel bends, and I used thier house brand mufflers. I highly recomend Waldron Exhaust. Not cheap, but it will last me the rest of my life.

The new Rod and Custom has a how-to with the new Cherry Bomb complete exhaust systems. They come with various degrees of bends and straight sections. I can't attest to the quality, but I'm sure it will work well for some folks.
