What are you guys using to vent exhaust fumes out of your garage? I have a small 1 car garage and 20 sec of engine running makes it unbearable. What type of hose should I use to vent the exhaust outside?

For occational use, a metal dryer vent tube is a cheap and quick alternative. slip it over the exhaust pinch it down and clamp it with a wisegrip and throw the other end out the door, or you can get fancy and install a dryer vent in the garage door...;-)

This should make you stop crying from the fumes.

  3. I can fit about 5 cars in my garage/warehouse, and I have a small apartment built inside where I live. I dont' like smelling the fumes inside the apartment, or while working on a car in the shop. I have a 36" exhaust fan at the top corner of the building that helps **** the fumes out, and a 36" portable fan that helps push the air & fumes out when I have the big door open. Works great.
