Hey guys in a few weeks I am needing to replace the cracked p*** side exhaust manifold. Since it is a '64 Cadillac with the 429 it will be a almost insane to do with just the tools I have available to me I am looking for a local shop that would be able to do this at a reasonable price. Some of the guys on the 63-64 Caddy board also state without pulling the motor your best bet is to the head so you can get it off. I already have another (non cracked manifold) and gaskets for the manifold and exhaust. What shop would you recommend? I am going to do this after I have the driveshaft rebuilt in early Feb.

    Any ideas?

You are on a website for the insane. Really. Read, study, & do the manifold yourself. Have you used the search box at the top of this page? Have you seen the incredible cars people build? You are just changing a manifold. It's not Rocket Surgery. Get a pair and do it your self.
    Good Luck.

If I was one of those guys I would do it my self. Can you not read that I do not have the tools to do it myself. Not everyone turns a wrench for a living.

Anyone else that might know of a place.

This is a HOT Rod web site. It's for people that like Hot Rods and want to learn more about building them. It doesn't take that many tools to change an exhaust manifold. Not everyone here turns a wrench for a living, But almost eveyone here turns a wrench BECAUSE we like it, that's why we are here. It's not that hard, take the first step,....get a book, get a wrench.
    Good Luck.

Thank you I will look into it.

This is why I do not want to tackle this.

I do have the book and I have done my research. I have worked on cl***ic cars and I know when I would get over my head. If you can not recommend a shop the please do not reply.
