Simple hot rods should have simple wiring I can see an airplane having a lot of wires that make it seem like complicated wiring but it still should be simple. Here's a pro race truck's removable dash. Can you image if 33&1/3rd's guy worked on this?
When I got my 39 Ford the wires looked like a rats nest under the dash. It was a big ball and when I shook it, I got sparks and yeah they were all red.
Yeah, wiring is fun. Run one wire at a time, power it and watch it perform correctly, very rewarding. Then nice neat bundles, pretty
Looks like it was done by a ******* chimp on meth. So if the guy was not ******* or a chimp I am going to have to go with meth as my final answer.
That depends on where you live. Conduit is not required here, plain old Romex cable and staples are acceptable. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

I'm pretty good sometimes at understanding old cars and how they work and how to fix them when they break. Ultimately, the question of why the PO did something he did to the car, is not so much a question about cars as it is a question about human behavior. I have never understood human behavior. Sometimes when I have dealt with people all day, I come home and raise the hood of my '38 Ford pickup or my '55 Ford just to see something I completely understand and can fix when it breaks.
