HAA! Thanks man. I've worked in club bands for most of my life. With one particular band I played with back in the 80s, when a particularly attractive woman would walk into the club, we would spontaneously break into "Little Red Riding Hood" by Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs. It still makes me laugh when I think about it. We were such dogs...it was awesome!!
Lol, that's awesome. I just got an old truck with a Wolf Patrol tag on it. ;-) Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Simple we were all out trying to score some ginch. Bowwwwww bowwwwww. Don't feel bad I had to explain to someone who Huey P Newton was the other day.
I went to Greenville,South Carolina to the Memorial Auditorium with a girlfriend in 1965 to see Paul Revere and the Raiders...the band that opened for them was a new band on the scene,Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs. I had heard Wooly Bully but they told us about a new record coming out and the new song was "Li'l Red Ridding Hood" and they played it that night. 3 weeks later our band The Sterling Five had added Li'l Red Ridding Hood to our song list, along with Wooly Bully.
