This thread is great. Makes me want to move out west even more. Just can't seem to find stuff like this in FL.

Gary 4t950 Chevy guy( just Gary) told me about cars in the park on October not sure 100 % what the day is. It's in Sierra vista and I have been once about 9 years ago. It was a good time, we drove my 55 and my buddy's falcon down from Tucson. We could get a caravan to go down and then all have a southern az meet and greet. I think that would be super cool, I have messaged back and forth with Gary and I think it would be cool to do something like that!

I'd be up for that - I'd bring the coupe for sure unless my wagon is painted by then. There's also a couple guys in Safford that I could convince.

I know it's way out of Az., but I found this on my way through Idaho when I stopped along the road to take some pictures. No I didn't climb down to see it closer. It was pretty rugged going down where it was and I was alone in the middle of what seemed to be nowhere. In the picture that seems to be scenery it's to the left of the big rock at the edge of the water at the base of the tall pine just left of picture center

1933 Chevy. There is a lot there that I could use. If that were closer I'd be like a vulture and pick it clean.

  9. We'll be doing more exploritory hikes in the coming months. May resume in August or Sept.

  10. Man, send me the left rear 1/3 of the frame out of that '60 Pontiac, along with the lower front fenders, trunk pan, left front floorpan.... You could make a small fortune sawzalling that car up.

  11. I've decided to plan an exploratory hike this Sunday July 15. We will go back to the area east of Superior to the devils canyon area.
can revisit the old hwy tunnel as well.

I wouldn't ask anyone to carpool without AC. But I do it all the time.

  21. We are meeting up at the IHOP at Val Vista and Baseline.

3495 East Baseline Road, Mesa, AZ

Leaving at 6am. I am going to try to get there an hour early to eat.
We'll get to the area around 7 and be done by around 10 or 11. Back in the valley by noon.
It is not a problem leaving cars at the IHOP so, we can carpool from there too.
I do recommend long pants as there is a lot of brush in certain areas. Hiking boots, water, all the basics.
Look for my primer black '66 GTO in the lot.

  22. Here are some pics of the area I am going back to. Want to identify this car better. Most here feel it is a '50 chev. but, I remember port holes on the fenders, thinking it is a Buick.
