The cops used to use phonebooks as a persuasive device for exactly the same reason.............

If something can be unbolted, chrome it!

At the very least it begs consideration! If I was a SciFi writer, I'd write about a chrome species. There are green, blue, white, black, (those white and black guys fro Star Trek original series), but n chrome people. I bet they paint everything to be different. Just a theory, nothing to back this up.

And, if it is not too much of a stretch, my home has at least 400 oil rubbed bronze hinges on its doors and another 100 striker plates. I remove them, paint/stain and replace, can't imagine painting over them. Again, different strokes for different folks. I like details. It's an anal thing. No wait.

About that 'phone book' deal........Do it hafta be a TEXAS phone book to do right ?!
Maybe if the door needs to be moved just a little......a Delaware phone book would work !?

Any thick phone book. The trick is with a soft cover book it doesn’t leave any marks, if you any thing hard it will leave marks or dents. Now CONSIDER YOURSELF INFORMED
