Best looking one I ever saw was a ‘29 with ‘27 T coupe quarter windows used to extend it.

    yup...
longer doors are the catz azz on a model A...
if using '32 rails a 2.5" longer door would make the body fit great on them... my $0.02.

my '27 Es*** two door sedan was a "gas ration" truck ...a wwII modification done to many many vehicles in order to turn them into a truck for farm use...thus qualifying for extra fuel rations...some were done brutally with an axe and most had some kind of hand made wooden bedsides and/or deck but some had finesse...mine was cut vertically just behind the doors down to the body beltline then sliced horizontally along the beltline the rear roof section (aft of side windows) with rear wndo was brazed back on along with a galvanized panel to fill in the wood/cloth roof area...instead of a box was the 2 door 1/4s so it still had the typical '20's bolt in rear panel this was turned into the "tailgate" imo it looked much more congruous than sticking a truck box on would have...almost like a lost prototype

    Here is mine, mocked up.
Model T coupe with the deck area removed and a pickup box added.
Wheel base 116" and great leg room.

I have never seen one done with better looking proportions than the 34 extended cab pickup that Speedway sells in fibergl***. They look like something that might have been factory if you didn't know any better. Here's a pic of one in progress from a for sale ad on the hamb. I'd love to have one in steel though!

31 studebaker 4 door, rear doors cut down to make quarter windows, 20190612_161518.jpg the few extra inches of legroom makes it driveable. Good luck, have a few constuction photos if you proceed .

The 4" stretched door looks great. Hardly noticeable. And maybe add the tri five chevy wing windows to boot. Those are about 4" and could use the stock size door gl*** as well.

I had a build thread of this one on here and it got deleted by admins. I guess it wasn't HAMB material.. Oh well here it is finished! IMG_6729.jpg

Perhaps you could rerun it in the Antiquated Forum or the Hokey *** Forum...many times it s just a matter of where the Thread is Started as its obviously not a Traditional Forum Hotrod...

You did a stand up job on it...It reminds me of those Model A Mail Delivery Coupes that were around in I suspect the 30s...

  15. My attempt will be with no quarter windows, if interested check out the eighty bushel build here on the hamb. No progress yet, just digesting the possibilities and collecting parts.

I am building a 30 Model A pickup and could not find an affordable rear cab panel. I had access to a 28 or 29 sedan back and the door jamb areas from it. It is going to be a kind of ratty build. model a cab rear 2.JPG Model a cab rear.JPG model a cab rear 3.JPG model a cab rear 4.JPG model a cab rear5.JPG mosel a cab rear6.JPG Any of the sedan rears are 4 1/4" too narrow so I fabbed some spacer channels and straightened out the bottom of the center panel and made new corners for the rotten and wrongly shaped originals. Here are some mock up pictures.

That's a bit of a mutt as well. It's a Winters center section and one bell is a Frankland. Modified F150 tubes and later Lincoln drums from the 70's.

Man, I would love to see the build thread on this if you were willing to recreate it.
