Friend of mine had this intake built for him to use on a Ford 300 6 cylinder. Not sure how well it will perform but it sure looks cool.
That may become an issue, if the plenum is lower than the runners. Some liquid fuel collects in the bottom of the plenum on carb intakes and ends up dribbling into the runners, when the bottom of the plenum is considerably lower than the bottom of the runners quite a bit of fuel may collect and then suddenly go into one or a couple of runners, for example during sudden braking, acceleration or turning. On top of that, it looks like a couple of runners are located lower than the rest, those cylinders are always more likely to run rich than the others. Some fuel injection intakes work well with carbs too, some do not. I can't see enough of that to tell, but I wouldn't get my hopes up too high.
Yeah, looks cool but I'm curious how well it works. Super long runners with several turns. Probably will depend on how the engine is built.
My thoughts as well. Fuel puddling and uneven distribution came to mind but I wasn't going to say anything about it. I'm guessing it will get fired up this weekend so I'll get a report then.
I had an intake similar to that on an ot engine. Ran great over 80*F ambient temperature, but had the fuel drop out problem mentioned above when colder. Just fwiw.
