I've had them pick steel out of the pupil and I don't even know when I got it. You say that private prayer you'll never even drill without gl***es. I've been good for 10+ years, but I got a catalog yesterday for bifocal safety gl***es and seeing as how I'm past 50 I'm going to get a few pair. I'll post the name tonight when I get home.

Last fall I got a metal shard embedded in my eye about 8 layers is what the doc. said.
Drilled it out and I spend the next four days in a darkened room with a patch over the injured eye. Had to have my wife and youngest son lead me around.
    Man that ****ed.

A good investment is an eye flush kit, available at most pharmacies. Its a small bottle of solution with a clear plastic eye cup. You remove the lid and put the eye cup on the container, then put the cup to your eye. Put your head back, then open your eye and move it around. Only costs a few bucks each and works great for getting out dust and small particles. Pick up a few and keep em in the garage with a clean towel.

I got drilled once, I thought I was gonna puke. I dont know whats worse seeing them doin it or lookin at it when they're done. It leaves a nice lil crater in your eye.
Not long after that I had to go back and get the other eye done. This time no drill just a small little shovel, and I think the lady was having a bad day, cause she wasn't takin it easy on me
Now I don't know who thinks i'm the bigger idiot for not learnin my lesson. The Dr. or my wife. Hell, I still don't wear them they get all scratched up and it's hard to see. But after this reminder of all the fun I'm gonna get me a new pair.
