Great stuff if you want a custom look for not a ton of cash. Even though it's pretty straight forward as to the install, you have to know the basics of disassembling the seats and materials. I suggest over stuffing the seat springs to get the wrinkles out and get a tight fit. We used the complete kit including the headliner, seat material, door panels and AAC carpet. I like it. I would use it again. Here is some of the pics of our install on the Goldsmobile. There is some stuff in the way, but you get the idea of how it came out. I'm glad to see this, I plan to use EZ-Boy in my 47. It fits the build theme I'm going for of mid 60's high school hot rod. This is the first EZ-Boy I've seen installed, and it will certainly work for me! I'm planning to do the door panels, and kickpanels myself. Then I'll get my upholstery guy to stretch the seats and do the headliner. On a 47, the carpet is cut and bound, and just lays in the car. I have come to the conclusion that the glass will need replacing as there is no logic in putting cloudy 66 year old glass back in now that I have it out. I'll get Larry to do the "fuzzies" and help me seal up the car so that if I get caught out in one of those Texas rainstorms I don't drown in my own car! BTW Clean-Cut, lovely lady!
I'm back, my upholstery guy suggested that since mine is a tudor I buy enough extra carpet to do the bottoms of the door panels so that they don't get all scuffed up. Thoughts?
"I'm back, my upholstery guy suggested that since mine is a tudor I buy enough extra carpet to do the bottoms of the door panels so that they don't get all scuffed up. Thoughts? " Guess it depends on how big your feet are. Actually, it's not a bad idea, depending on your car's build theme and price of the extra carpet.
