I want to use an F-1 cross over in my '29 Ford roadster to mount the rear of the '37 transmission and engine that I am installing. The transmission mounting holes on the "saddle" that attaches to the F-1 is for an 8" span, for a later 8BA or 8RT engine and transmission. Does anybody make a 10", "saddle" that would match up the mounting hole span on my '37 transmission? Thanks.

If you're going to keep the "torque tube" drive shaft, probably not. If you're going to to go to open drive(used on trucks after 1941) you might be able to change the rear bearing retainer/mount on your trans mission for one off a later truck trans. I have not done this; this is where I would look next to solve the problem. Hopefully, some one will chime in . Also, ask this question on the Fordbarn.

I bought a '42-'48 bearing retainer on e-bay. Thank you. John
