Are they still available through Car Quest? I see Carpenter has them for $100 Ea. I get a little price break through CQ. so want to check there first. Thanks.....Mike
I couldn't get them at O'Reillys or Auto Zone here in my town. Sacremento Vintage Ford had them for about $100 each. Local parts stores had the 53 and later f100. Got lucky and had a good set given to me.
Are the '48-'52 F-1 front drums different than the '53-'56? Sounds like maybe they are. I checked www.Rockauto.com and they list front drums for a '56, but not for a '52.... Malcolm
Yes fronts are different from the rears on 48-52 and different from 53-56. Have you tried Joblot in New York?
Mike, I didn't know you could put f1 brakes on snowmobiles.......maybe you should check at art's.... f1's are pricey.........f100's (1953 and up) aren't as bad because they were used up until the mid sixties. Check the tech archive for the big brake article. I think it lists part numbers and interchang-a-bility.
