Okay, I have installed F-100 front brakes on '37-'41 spindles and know the routine. Modify the inner bearing race to fit the spindle, etc. I ran across a set of F-1 front brakes the other day and I have a pair of '41-'48 spindles. I ran some searches and came up with no information. My question is this; is the swap the same as the F-100 swap?
48 to 56 backing plates are the same but the hub and brake drum are different on 48 to 52. Easy way to tell is the 48 to 52 has a lot more offset front the hub face to the brake shoe surface. 53 to 56 is flat. You can also use the hub and drum off a 57 to 64 with different bearings.
