F-1 interchangebility

I have a 1951 F-1 and a 1949 F-5. The hood on the F-5 is in much better shape than the F-1 hood. I also like the 49 grill a lot better. I wonder if it is possible to swap the hood and grill from the F-5 to the F-1

 

The hood will physically fit, I believe the latching plate is different. The fenders are totally different so unless you put early fenders on the 52 it wont work.
