20190820_183821.jpg 20190820_183811.jpg What do you guys think. Should I just re- 20190820_183821.jpg 20190820_183811.jpg bush and use or start looking for a new shaft. It's going to be in an AV8 which is a pretty light car.

  2. Ive seen pictures of those recut on a lath to under size, and new bushings made.If it cleaned up with a light cut you might be able to use factory bushings with out honing to size.I think as is it will just wear bushings prematurely.

Those sectors are the exact same part as every 40-48 Ford passenger car. There are lots of them out there. Might be cheaper to find another if you had to pay to have that one ground undersize.

  5. There is a change at some point.I got one for a 1 ton cheap on e bay.Looked like a dead ringer.Once I got it I saw it was 20 percent larger on the shaft. If you buy off the internet have them mike the shaft, and compare to yours,or you will have one collecting dust like I do.

  7. F1, F2, F3 are all the same steering box. F4 and larger are different even though they look the same at first glance.
New sectors are availible from several early Ford sources....google search. I wouldn't mess with that one, the roller is likely worn as well.
