I have a good friend who is wanting to finish up a '53 F-100 he started years ago. All he got done when he was working on it before was the front and rear suspension. He could take his build in any direction from where it is currently.

He is torn between a satin-finished custom and a '50's/60's push truck look - lettering on the doors and all.

Anyone have any pics they could post of either? Hopefully we can light a fire.

    Thanks, JH

No pic...but I just fell in LOVE with the styling on the 53 Effie years ago!

I'd build it with a Plain Jane white finish and stuff it full of 390, 406 or 428 power...backed with a four speed and dropped down just a little!

A kinda "sleeper/moonshine runner" look! [IMG]

Try our club web site. www.socp.net the most F100 and M100 pics on the internet. I'd go push truck. Every pic you see from old Bonnevile days has an F100 in the back ground. Must be they knew what was cool back then.

Hack...... you should have had the red coat on for the pink bike shot!

Here is an Idea that needs to be tried out.. [IMG]

The whole grille as an deepset mesh (with smoothed off corners)and a couple of those freestanding Imperial headlights mounted in front of it (but inside the grillecavity).
