Has anyone heard of a guy named Pat Rogero from the Savanna area ? I was talking to Randy Gross and he said he was a good F-100 steering box guy. But I can’t find him on Facebook or Google.
They're simple enough to do yourself but if you need help @NealinCA would be my choice, he makes 100% brand new ones as well.

Thanks guys. My F-100 box was supposed to be a F-1 box when I bought it. But it’s definitely a F-100. Could have put a’39 keyway’d shaft in a F-1 box and used my ‘39 banjo steering wheel. I don’t think an early model keyway’d shaft will go in a F-100 box ??? Anyone sure ? Also the pinch bolt pitman arm has a ball and big ugly drag link. Need to find a pinch bolt pitman arm with a tapered hole.

As for running an earlier wheel on later box you would have to either change the whole shaft from the worm gear up or splice in an early taper shaft and key. The model a ford as well as the BB 1932-34 trucks also have a larger shaft and taper. It’s not much but enough so it doesn’t fit. I cut the end of the early shaft and machine a pin so it can be inserted and welded plug pinned and joined to the later shaft.
I used a 1932 ford shaft in my f-100 box. The f-100 and '32 shafts look identical on the end where the worm gear presses on. My '32 shaft didn't have a worm gear on it so I don't know if you can use a 32 worm gear in the f-100 box. I pressed on a new f-100 worm gear onto the '32 shaft and it installed perfectly. Then all you do is ***emble the f-100 box as usual. After this I took a 1940 steering column tube with factory column drop and cut it to length. (I did this by cutting in the middle of the tube to remove a damaged section and welded it back together, but if you have a good tube you could just cut it off the box end) The top of the '32 shaft fits the rubber bushing that is inside the 1940 tube (I installed a new one) Then, wanting the key lock on the column drop to work, I removed the little metal piece from a late 1930's shaft (its a thick metal tube looking thing about an inch long that is slid onto the shaft and attached) and I installed this on the '32 shaft. This tube collar thing is what the lock on the column drop connects with to lock the steering. Then I installed it into my 1928 roadster.
Thanks Gregger. Sounds perfect. I’ll order a’32 shaft and put my F-100 worm gear and bearing races on it. Then rebuild the box and me and my’39 banjo steering wheel will be looking good !
