I always dug that panel, and the new paint and caps lend it a real cl***y feel. Nice job, Mac!

The paint is just a green metallic base-coat with no clear.

Mine before the rework began, most of the parts came off this one to go on my 54 F100...

Well...I think I killed this thread, with my last "Rat Rawd" themed post.

I'm attaching this thing to a Ford Ranger's ch***is that I've had sitting around forever, should be interesting. I think the track width is going to be sorta screwed up though.

Here's a pic of my '53. This was taken a few years ago here in the Phoenix desert. It's currently undergoing some new changes and upgrades with hopes of being on the road again in the near future.

    Thank you very much!
The front suspension is a RB's Obsolete front clip that uses 80-88 GM G Body car suspension components. This clip works well and I love how my truck handles and drives.
    Here's a link to see it: http://www.rbsauto.com/product.asp?Product_Id=173051&d_Id=17224&l1=17224&l2=

The rear suspension is all stock Ford. My truck started life as a 3/4 ton longbed, so I took a bunch of leaves out of the spring pack. Then when I moved the spring hangers forward (to match the short bed wheel base) I also raised them up on the frame, to lower the rear.

The Wheels are Wheels Vintique chrome reverse OE style wheels. The rears are 15 x 8 and the fronts are 15 x 7, I forget what each backspace specs are though. The tires are BFG radials 275/60-15 and 215/75-15 and an old timer here in Phoenix cut and added the whitewalls for me.

Well, here's my contribution - OK, it's a 250, but it is getting F-100 hubs and an F1 rear axle to get me 5-lug hubs, then gotta rewire it and get it on the road before sorting the cosmetics. It's a California truck and there are just a handful of small rust holes, although there's definitely some panel-straightening required.

By the way, it's cold and wet over here so I need a heater for it!

Man, this is an inspiring thread! This is my '54 that I picked up last month. As soon as I get the Fairlane squared away, I'll get started on this.
