    Hello.

Yesterday i went for a spin in my 64 galaxie, and drove about a mile or so, when it began to run bad.

It would barely enter the shop when i got back and now it won´t start.

I am suspecting a bad coil, when i measure with my multimeter with all wires removed, i can measure 3,6 ohms resistance in the coil, measured with the negative wire from the meter on the - pole, and vice versa on the + pole..

Does anybody know the specs on this, and what works with ignitor 2,? i´m gonna buy a new one.

    Thankyou.

3.6 ohms in the primary circuit?

If the primary circuit is between the - and the + connectors, NOT the wire that goes to the distributor, then yes.

You'll want to measure from the + to the spark terminal and from the - to the spark terminal. Check those readings against published specs.
