I just bought a 1955 Ford Customline. 272 Y-Block with the Fordomatic transmission. Four door. 65,000 original miles. Black with blue interior. All gl*** is good. All stainless is good around windows and down both sides. No A/C. No power steering. Very little rust. Solid car. Hoping to stay as original as possible, but still make it my own. Looking to get in best daily driver running order as possible first. Then lower. Then fix headlight/taillight chrome and all other details. Any suggestions on how to first get the original motor, drivetrain, brakes and such as reliable and safe as possible would be very helpful. Thanks very much.
