Trying to finish this up over spring break. (gotta love teaching! ) The truck is turning out nice, but a little plain. Flames were planed from the beginning, but the owner wanted it mild. Got these Layed out yesterday. Going with pearls over the dark grey metallic base. More to come soon......
The molding floats over the low areas behind the openings. Should look good. Color tomorrow, I gotta play sheetrocker today
Got the hood center Layed out, and color! Blue pearl, with green tips, and a splash of red. Clear tonight!!!
First coat of clear. Hard to photo, but you can see whats going on. I'll post a shot with it rubbed and on the truck in a few days. Man, it's been a long haul...............gota go shoot some more clear..
Making progress. Crossing things off the list.....writing more lists. Got ALL the electrical working. Tonight I cavity waxed the doors and cab corners. Simple underseal gun, 12 dollar hose with a 360 degree spray tip. No matter what there are always places you cant prime and paint well enough. I had this cab on a rotisserie and still had a hard time priming and bed coating some areas. Doing this makes me sleep better
