I am getting ready to paint my F1 truck. Does anyone know how much paint is needed? I am wanting to use PPG Concept Single Stage.

    Thanks, John

    Hey John,

By "paint" do ya mean under the hood, door jams & behind the seat, inside the bed & behind the cab?

I'd start with 5 quarts of un reduced material.

It took me about 2 gallons of unreduced base coat on my '51. That includes the interior, box, etc.

I think on the last one I did I used about 1 gal unreduced base/ 2 gals sprayable. No jambs and I used black sealer to save on paint.

    Thanks for the replys.

Being this is the first complete vehicle I've painted, I think I need 2 gallons unreduced from what everyone is saying.

It never hurts to have a little left over for touch ups if needed. Especially if you don't trust the kid behind the counter to match the color correctly.

2 gallons for sure. that way you can put enough material on and have a little extra
