I just received my new shop manual and i will be dambed my luck if it ain't just that a mech manual!!!.So if i am out to make it run or tune it up i am covered.This is my first 1951 F1 it is all original factory down to the 8ba flathead inwhich i intend to stay with and overall the the truck is in good shape.There are a few body and chassis parts i am looking to replace such has running boards body mount brackets;front end parts,sheet metal...ect.So if at all possible could somebody school me on what general rule of thumb for what year models of the early 1950's f1 parts interchange on these old girls Upfront Thanks
1951 has some exclusive parts like the rear fenders and bed. If you want deluxe cab look for chrome around the windshield and the side medallion on the hood trim. Just a couple things off the top of my head.
Take a look at lmctruck.com, denniscarpenter.com, national parts depot. These companys have catalogs for 48-52 F1's. The catalogs will let you know what years the parts will work with. The cab mounts are the same for all years, The fenders are not all the same, etc. Pm me if you need anything specific.
