Looking for grease seals national oil seal 473441 and self adjusting hardware kit. I found seals on amazon @ $40.00 each [really] self adjusting parts piece by piece on Rock Auto. Where else can I look? Late so done for tonight, Thanks.
H2540 & H2541 self-adjuster repair kits H7144 spring & hold down kit. Usually get these from RockAuto @ a reasonable price even considering shipping. Last 473441 seals I picked up were from O'Reilly, about $10 each. Should use a factory self-adjusting shoe retainer or relieve your existing shoe retainers to clear the forward retract spring.
Thank you Rich B.! P/N's and Pics are a big help for the self adj and hold down relieving. Ordered everything from Rock Auto except for seals which I got from O'reilly, still $10. Since the front brake cylinders were so bad and I can't remember ever replacing the rear cylinders I thought I better check them too so I ordered new rear brake cylinders, maybe I will change them just because.. Thanks again. Update: today I got the rear drums off and the brake cylinders are just starting to weep, these are from 1969 or so when I put the 1st 9" rear in. Done good I guess EIS parts I think.
Just a note: Last 473441 seals I picked up were from O'Reilly, about $10 each have to be left about a 1/32" proud of the hub or they will seat on the cone bearing cage! Or maybe can trepand the inner metal shield off in a lathe.
