Used the forum search for a couple of days to no avail:

Bought a temp gauge and need to install it on my '59 F100 292 V8 but I don't have proper instructions; says to install off water temp sensor and I thought the only sensor was the oil temp near the oil filter.

Anyone have any experience with wiring these things?

  2. You can plug it in right at the back of the drivers side head. Your gauge should have come with a sensor probe that you can plug in at that point.

It did come with a probe, but I wasn't expecting to use it. You wouldn't happen to have a pic, or a drawing of the location you're talking about would you?
