F100 Brake Question

I just got a 1970 F100 parts truck, will these brakes fit on 37 Ford spindles or do I need to go to an earlier year? Thanks

Not much use for those later 60's to 70's ford brakes except scrap weight.

 

do these brakes ('48-'56) also fit pre '37 spindles???
the problem is, I am not sure which spindles I got...
they have this flat on the top, if that helps...

what spindles you have is hard to determine without a picture

 

This thread may help you some. I'm using the F100 brakes on '35 spindles. It's going to take some extra work to make everything bolt together and fit, but it will work (I hope ).

You can use the shoes and hardware from a 66 on the 53-56 backing plates, which will give you self adjusting brakes as well.
