Technical F100 front bumper bracket

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by lcpland, Feb 20, 2022.

  1. the P.O had hit a parking pole and bent the bumper in. I am starting to try and straighten it out, but wondering if anyone makes a replacement piece.
I have looked around on the interwebs but only seem to be able to find them for the rear bumper. Does anyone know if someone makes these for the front?
For a 1966 Ford F100 ( I know a little "new" but its driving me crazy..

  2. You won't find that bracket because it's part of the frame; Ford didn't use a intermediate bracket on the '60s pickup trucks, the bumper bolted directly to the frame. So that leaves you with two choices: straighten what's there or cut it off and weld on a replacement cut from another truck. The good news is Ford used basically the same bumper from '64 through '78, so finding a donor shouldn't be too hard.
