Hey gents. I have a 64 ford straight axle and Ive searched around the forum and found several guys claim to have the done the camaro clip swap. but they didn't really offer any information about it. I was kind of looking for information, suggestions and maybe a few frame pictures. thanks!
By far, the easiest swap is to use the complete front suspension / crossmember from a 2005 - up Crown Vic. It is practically a bolt-in. You don`t have to cut your frame. Do a Google search, you`ll find info.
Here's a 60 with a camaro clip, I talked to the guy that built it, he said it was a little too wide for the frontend and they widened the fender flares on it. I couldn't get much inside the hood area, but you can see where he placed it on the frame. They told me the Nova front clip was better cause it was a little narrower.
Not sure. Go to www.ford-trucks.com . Go to FORUMS and check out the 61-66 section. Do a search. The info you`re looking for is there.
first gen camaro, nova clips are narrower. go to fatman fabrication and look at the front stub kit for fords. it allows you to use mustang II stuff and the you can bag it.
