Hi, I have a pr of '50's F250 brakes, the type with the single acting cylinders. Does anybody know what brake shoes and regular dual acting cylinders will fit? I think you can use Econoline but not 100% sure. It would be the same internals as used on Wilson welding backing plates I guess. You can email me direct originalshrs@btinternet.com thanks in advance, Kerry.

If I read you right, you have a set of 12"' Bendix style brakes. Why do you want "dual acting " wheel cylinders? I'm assuming you're talking about the early Ford Lockheed style with two different bore sizes. Did I mis-read you? From what I've heard, the brales you have are another way (alternate to LZ) to add modern brakes to your ealy Ford. Just mount the backing plates on your spindles. Replacement wheel cylinders for these brakes should be available at any N.A.P.A , CarQuest, etc.
