    I prefer the word:
Magic adjective: To have or appear to have supernatural powers
Maybe everyone should get out the 18# and start pounding and bending "then" we all can have an appreciation for Nephews work!
Good work Alex, you're bring em up right
    Good Luck

I don't care what anyone says or calls it, I just wish I could go out in the garage and cut, beat and weld on a piece of metal and have it turn out that nice.

I think it's both, My boss at work is one of the maule Family, watched him create one off and prototype airplane pieces out of stock materials and sheet metal for the past nine years, he calls it work,i call it art, just gets an idea in his head and makes it appear out of nothing. I have the same ability to visualize something in my head and make a bracket or part out of what i can find, usually machined. not anywhere near the same level he builds stuff at though. Caddy parts are great looking, I guess i'm leaning towards art, the cars themselves are steel art from a bygone era, nothing else ever like them, so i guess any pieces would make it art restoration.

It is both, and I really need to stop looking at these threads.

You are giving me an inferiority complex.

    Need an intern?;)

Fabrication is just that. If I drive really fast, am I a race car driver? If I video tape my self having sex, am I a porn star? If I fabricate a Ferrari that was a one off, am I an artist? Maybe the first guy was but, if I copy it, I say no. I have had a few art shows I make my living making art. But when I am in the shop building and fabricating car stuff I am a fabricator. The art of war...the art of yuppie bullshit... trying to make somthing more important when it is just what it is and nothing more. We have had many discussions on this art of question. My 2 cents
