I saw that one in LA in c.1975. My twelve-year-old reaction to the finish would today translate as "WTF?"

The Velorex was a mini car or bubble car with a 2 stroke Jawa motorcycle engine. It was meant to provide cheap transportation with a little more weather protection than a motorcycle.

  5. Needs about 3" out of the front pillars and 2" at the back.

Maybe longer shackles on the front to get it a bit lower....

A search arising from cerial's thread, "1929 Bentley coupe similar profile" turned up this Bentley 4½ Supercharged fhc by Maythorn on Weymann principles:

I've seen this image before in print. The car has, like too many others, been rebodied at some stage as yet another Le Mans replica. If I could afford to buy it the first thing I'd do is recreate this body.

A lot of Weymann cars were rebodied, too bad as the covering could be replaced for not much more than the cost of a paint job. A lot of people thought the body was shot when it wasn't.

Bugatti Brescia 22 with doped fabric body.
(Now I understand why the first guys to "get it" when I was building my fabric bodied speedster had both restored Bugatti's for museums.)
