Fabric help!

Anybody have a good source for 50's era fabrics? I'm re-doing the interior in my 50 chev rag.The pictures is what's in it now-too much red!! I'm going with a black carpet and the seats are going to have a 6" red vinyl border with fabric inserts. My jaw dropped at the prices some of the suppliers want up here, plus I haven't found the perfect pattern yet. I'm not going to be a cheap *** on the fabric I just want to find a pattern that's "it"

SMS down in Portland has what you need.

 

X2 on SMS but you will get a serious case of sticker shock.

 

If you don't want the best or the most original, don't call SMS.

 

did you chack with the upholstery shops?sometimes they have a short yardage piece.black is hard, but there are aftermarket stuffavailable.expect 25.00yard and up.i had a shop for many years and i still do some custom stuff,i buy from wholesalers.i might be able to find you something.good luck ,jack

 

www.hamptoncoach.com is where I purchased a complete OEM interior for my '46 Olds. Very happy. Not cheap by the time I had delivered down under.
