I'm not quite there yet. Today I found out that Jegs sent the wrong intake manifold with the crate motor I got from them.

I have the chrome smoothies that I had on my 32 with 41 Ford hub caps on the whitewalls. The running boards are at the upholstery shop and will be white rolled and pleated.

I'll post more photos when I'm further along. :)

So first pics, gold and scallops, I really like that, thought about a similar layout myself, and then i read chrome rims and padded running boards, this is going to be epic, looking forward to more updates.

Yes, white would look best....BUT..... My wife convinced me that I'm too messy for a white interior, and the cigar smoke would soon turn the interior the same shade as the exterior. She's probably right. I decided on black and tan. :)

Come on Al, you can’t be serious—-black and tan!! Have a little restraint. White interior-NOSMOKING. White rolled and pleated running boards-same on interior=gorgeous-beautiful-spectacular. Black & tan... no way... how bout black and white interior.. room for compromise between you and Mom huh?

Very nice! Love the color combo. I painted a 67 shovel the same gold and cream two tone. Looks close to the gold i used. It was a chrysler color. Inca gold

Not much progress.... Dave and Eli both had the flu, but we finally got it over to Eli's shop to install the new motor.

Not as much as me....:D I figure it will be mid-May when it hits the road. I just picked up the running boards and seats from the upholstery shop today and didn't get any snow on them.

  26. Wow, that really looks good, Al. I'll be looking to take some good pix of it at Nats East.

REALLY like your car. Noticed in the last pic it has an IRS. Care to tell us more? Very interested in any/all chassis mods, drive train mods, and interior. Do you have a build thread? I'm just starting to gather parts and info for updating my coupe. Just take a look at my avatar and you will understand why I am asking all the questions.
Also, what is that black car behind yours in the last pic? Possible a pickup??
