  6. I like that new 08 Mercury light green on the new mountnaineers. I am doing a silver roof on my 54 ford with some light flake added to the roof.I was thinking that color for the body or the SAAB/Saturn lime green

Dupont Hot Hues has some nice greens in base clear. PM me your address and I'll send you some Hot Hues paint chips. (I sell Dupont for a living)

Check out the 'Honda, Element'- Kiwi Metallic and Volvo gecko green metallic, cool greens. Ugly on these cars, but nice for an old car.
Both are nice new factory colors I've seen out there.

71-72 GM color chart will show a metallic green that looks like what I call "grass green". That color, topped off with a gold pearl has a nice "magic" look to it. The trick is to be very conservative with the pearl, maybe 2 coats only, then top coat it with clear. Had it on my bracket Camaro. The other choce is HOK "Organic Green" Kandy Basecoat. I know it's like cheater kandy but the look is pretty damn nice and easy to repair. There's a problem with the Kandy Basecoats you all need to be aware of...they've got a very high solvent content. If you subscribe to the slow solvent method of painting things you'll have major headaches with lifting and crazing. Use the fastest drying solvent you can that won't give a nasty dry spray, keep the coats light and conservative, wait extra flash time between coats, and wait even longer before the final clearcoat. If you use the KBC over silver or gold it's as close to the real deal as you can get. Maybe some others that have used it can shed their experiences on it as well.

But still, nothing beats a true candy, and the effort and experience needed (or the cost!) is always worth it in the end.
